Makemindspace is about creating space in your mind and in your life. In this screen dependent, fast paced world, many of us are losing the ability to just stop. We don’t know how to sit quietly, to look at what’s happening around us. Our heads are down, our eyes are on our phones, we are missing the magic of life unfolding around us. And it’s making us ill. I created makemindspace to make a small offering to help change this. This site is for anyone interesting in meditation or making a change in their life. On this site are articles, meditations, and stories of inspiring people that I hope will help you. If you want to stop your mind from endlessly scrolling and enjoy greater peace, focus and joy in your life, this is the place for you.


About me


My name is Louise. I am a British School of Meditation trained meditation teacher, reiki teacher, arts professional and mother based in Oxfordshire.

I started to meditate out of necessity. I had a mind that was in overdrive. It endlessly scrolled through to-do lists, constantly ran through what tasks should be squeezed in and when.  I became slowly but increasingly stressed. I felt separated from my life like there was an invisible wall between me and what was going on around me.  I wasn’t present.

I felt the benefits of meditation both immediately and cumulatively. The results were amazing. I was calmer, more relaxed, less prone to stress and more able to deal with it when I was triggered. Just as importantly I felt present. I didn’t feel like I was on the outside of my life looking in anymore.

Over time, the bursts of meditation have turned into a daily practice which I couldn’t be without.


It has been a game changer for me and I would like it to be a game changer for you too.

I teach meditation in workshops. I firmly believe that each person has to find a technique that works for them. My classes are secular, friendly and relaxed. This is about quietening the mind. Pure and simple. My classes are for everyone.
