Counting the breath meditation

Before you get started, let me re-assure you. Your mind will probably wander. Meditation isn’t about emptying your mind (see my blog on Meditation myth Busting…) and you will think about the shopping list, the meeting with your kids teacher, work. It’s ok. The mind is just doing what the mind does. All you have to do, is every time a thought nips in there, notice it and then return your attention to your breath. It doesn’t matter how many times you have to do it. Don’t get annoyed or judge yourself. Just note it and then return to your breath.
